Vicki & Danny, Abbeywood Estate

On a stunning summer's day in August, Vicki and Danny held their special day at the delightful Abbeywood Estate and Gardens in Delamere. The super talented Herve Gillet captured their perfect day on camera.

Abbeywood, home to the Rowlinson family is a beautiful 45 acre estate set in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. Vicki and Danny opted to host their reception in the gorgeous Glass House and Orangery, and their ceremony in the perfectly manicured gardens.

The day couldn't have complemented the setting more perfectly - the sprawling lawns that played host to their 'I Do's' provided breathtaking views over the Cheshire countryside.

Vicki and Danny's theme was simple and rustic, allowing the stunning venue to take centre stage. The simple white wooden chairs used to seat their friends and family were punctuated by natural log stumps and slices holding glass hurricane jars with candles lining the aisle.

The crafty couple created an elegant centrepiece to their nuptials in the form of an arch constructed from white stepladders and organza. Set up by our team to their careful specifications, the archway created the perfect frame for the natural woodland backdrop beyond, whilst adding a touch of simple rustic charm.

We worked closely with the fabulous Donna at Pure Floral Design to create a soft, feminine look for the flowers, fitting perfectly with the rustic feel for the day.

The reception was held in the lovely traditional Glass House, set amidst picturesque rose gardens. Again, with this setting we kept the decor simple, to allow the surroundings to shine. The metal bars across the ceiling were decorated with ivy garlands and a combination of paper lanterns, pom poms little glass jars containing fairy lights.

The rustic theme was continued with our hessian runners and log slices. The couple's choice of glass bell jars to house the floral arrangements created a beautiful vintage centrepiece.

There were so many small touches to the day, from the sweetie jar favours, to the polaroid name tags, the heart table confetti to the kraft advice cards, that added a real personal feel.

The couple opted for our World Map Seating Plan, with luggage tags linked to special locations for each table.

The couple had two wedding cakes - an epic naked sponge topped with summer berries and flowers, presented atop our large log slice cake stand, and a playful Lego-themed cake. They had the Liverpool Cake Company to thank for these wonderful creations.

Vicki and Danny thought of every tiny detail when planning their big day, the creativity and love they poured into this shone through for all to see. It was an absolute pleasure working so closely alongside them to help them realise their dream day, and we wish them both a lifetime of happiness :)
